Wire Specifications
All wire complies with ASTM A975-97, style 3 coating, Galfan and PVC coated steel wire. Maximum tensile strength of 75,000 psi (515 MPa) as per ASTM A856-03, soft temper steel.
Installation Process
- Position panels upright on bottom section of wire mesh
- Secure panels using spiral binders through mesh openings
- Install stiffeners across corners at 300mm intervals
- Fill gabion box with graded stone manually or mechanically
- Close lid and secure with spiral binders at all connection points
- For stacked tiers, secure upper tier to lower tier lid using spiral binders
