The jaw crusher utilizes two jaw plates: a fixed jaw mounted vertically on the machine body and a movable jaw positioned to form a tapered crushing cavity. The movable jaw performs periodic reciprocating motions against the fixed jaw, creating alternating separation and compression cycles. Material enters during separation and discharges crushed product during compression through extrusion, bending, and splitting actions.
