Charging Procedure
- Pull up to charging point and turn off your car
- Ensure car is unlocked with no charge settings/timers active
- Plug Type 2 Male end into charging unit - push firmly for full connection
- Plug Type 2 Female end into car's charging port - push firmly for full connection
- Lock your car and leave to charge (cable locks if supported)
- After charging, remove plug from car first, then from charging unit
Safety Note: The male plug's top pin is positioned further back as a safety feature, ensuring power disconnects first during unplugging.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
- Pins not latching: Use considerable force when plugging and wiggle until pins make full connection
- Charge settings on car: Ensure no timers or other settings are active
- Car is locked: Car must be unlocked and turned off to start charging
- Connection issues: Cable must plug directly into Type 2 socket
