PSA Technology Overview
Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Technology represents a revolution in non-cryogenic air separation and oxygen generation. The process utilizes special grade Zeolite Molecular Sieves (ZMS) in twin tower PSA modules with automatic change-over valves. Compressed air passes through refrigerated dryers before contacting ZMS beds, which preferentially adsorb nitrogen molecules. The resulting oxygen gas is collected in surge vessels with maintained minimum pressure via back pressure regulators.
