Process Overview
Nitrogen and hydrogen with specified flow rates and purity levels enter the system simultaneously. After thorough mixing, the gas mixture passes through the palladium catalyst deaerator where the chemical reaction 2H₂ + O₂ = 2H₂O occurs under catalyst action, achieving effective deoxygenation. The resulting water vapor is removed through cooling, followed by drying to achieve nitrogen with dew point of approximately -60°C.
System Configuration
The drying system employs dual dryers operating in alternating cycles - one unit performs adsorption drying while the other undergoes regeneration to prepare for the next operational cycle. Final nitrogen purification includes filtration to remove any particulate matter.
