Introduction
The double screw extruder is the primary component of double screw fish food processing equipment. It is composed of two intermeshing screws that rotate in opposite directions to mix, pulverize, and extrude the materials. The extruder barrel houses the screws and provides the necessary heat and pressure conditions for processing the raw materials.
The screws in a double screw extruder are specially designed to transport materials from the feed end of the barrel to the discharge end. The design of the screw also determines the processing performance of the machine. The screws can be divided into 3 types: self-cleaning screws, conveyance screws, and mixing screws. Self-cleaning screws are used to prevent blockages by removing any debris that might clog the barrel. Conveyance screws are used for transportation, while mixing screws are designed to mix the
ingredients uniformly.
