Product Description
The Electrocoagulation System is an advanced wastewater treatment solution that utilizes metal hydroxide produced by soluble metal anodes during flocculation to effectively remove contaminants from water. The system typically employs aluminum or iron anodes for cost-effective operation.
System Principle
The electrocoagulation process involves three key reactions:
Electrochemical reaction: Fe→Fe²⁺+2e
Anodizing reaction: 2OH⁻→2[O]+2e→O₂+2e (nascent oxygen provides strong oxidation)
Cathode reduction: 2H⁺+2e→2[H]→H₂ (nascent hydrogen breaks chemical bonds)
These oxidation and reduction reactions continuously occur on the system's plates for effective wastewater treatment.
