1. Conditioned sludge flows into the filter chamber from the flocculation tank and is pushed toward the discharge end.
2. As the gap between shaft threads increases, water separates from sludge and flows out through moving and fixed ring gaps.
3. Movement of rings automatically cleans gaps, preventing machine blockage.
4. Filtered sludge cakes are pushed forward by the shaft and discharged at the end.

When thickened sludge moves to the dewatering zone, the gaps between rings and screw pitch gradually narrow, increasing pressure and enhancing the dewatering process.
