Screw Press Introduction
The screw press offers high efficiency, low energy consumption, fully automatic control, and stable operation. It directly and continuously reduces water content from secondary settling tanks, producing dewatered sludge with stable moisture content between 70-85%. Its compact design reduces capital investment, saves floor space, minimizes odor and phosphorus release, and significantly improves the capacity of subsequent deep dewatering equipment.
Screw Press Working Process
- Conditioned sludge flows into the filter chamber from the flocculation tank and is pushed toward the discharging end.
- As the gap between the shaft threads increases, water separates from the sludge and flows out through the gaps between moving and fixed rings.
- The movement of rings cleans the gaps, preventing machine blockage.
- Filtered sludge cakes are pushed forward by the shaft and discharged at the end.
