Screw Press Introduction

The screw press offers high efficiency, low energy consumption, fully automatic control and stable operation. It directly and continuously reduces water content from secondary settling tanks, maintaining sludge moisture content between 70-85% after dewatering. Its compact design reduces capital investment and space requirements while minimizing odor and phosphorus release from sludge in concentration tanks. This significantly decreases the workload for subsequent deep dewatering processes and enhances the capacity of deep dewatering equipment.

Screw Press Working Process
  1. Conditioned sludge flows into the filter chamber from the flocculation tank and is pushed toward the discharge end.
  2. As the gap between shaft threads increases, water separates from sludge and flows out through gaps between moving and fixed rings.
  3. Movement of rings cleans gaps between them, preventing machine blockage.
  4. Filtered sludge cakes are pushed forward by the shaft and discharged at the end.
