Screw Press Introduction
The screw press offers high efficiency, low energy consumption, fully automatic control and stable operation. It directly and continuously reduces water content from secondary settling tanks, maintaining sludge moisture content between 70-85%. Its compact design reduces capital investment and saves floor space while minimizing odor and phosphorus release from sludge. This significantly improves the capacity of subsequent deep dewatering equipment.
Screw Press Working Process
- The conditioned sludge flows into the filter chamber from the flocculation tank and is pushed toward the discharging end.
- As the gap between the shaft threads increases, water separates from the sludge and flows out through the gaps between moving and fixed rings.
- The movement of the rings automatically cleans the gaps, preventing machine blockage.
- Filtered sludge cakes are pushed forward by the shaft and discharged at the end.
