Application of C1S/C2S Art Paper
C1S/C2S Art Paper is used for high-speed sheet-fed offset printing and cycle printing. It is mainly used for magazines, color paintings, product catalogs, exhibition tickets, book covers, inserts, promotional materials, children's books, annual reports, high-end artworks, appreciation books, Ancient paintings, photography magazines, etc.
How Does C2S Art Paper Work?
C2S Art Paper, or Coated Two Sides Art Paper, functions through a special coating process that enhances the surface properties of base paper. The key working principle lies in the application of a fine coating layer—typically made of calcium carbonate, kaolin clay, and binding agents—on both sides of the paper.
Here's how it works:
Base Paper Preparation:
Uncoated paper (usually woodfree paper) serves as the base.
Double Coating Process:
A smooth coating slurry is applied to both sides of the paper. This coating fills in the surface irregularities, creating a uniform, non-porous, and glossy finish.
Calendering:
After coating, the paper passes through heated rollers (calenders) to compress and polish the surface. This step ensures high smoothness and gloss.
Printing Behavior:
Because of its smooth and sealed surface, printing inks remain on the surface rather than being absorbed into the fibers. This allows for:

Drying & Finishing:
