Features of Carbonless Paper/NCR Paper

Carbonless copy paper, also known as carbonless paper or pressure-sensitive paper, is called "Carbonless copy paper" or "CCP" in English.

Carbonless paper can be divided into two types: coupled color development and self-developed color development in terms of product structure. There are three types of coupled color development carbonless paper: upper, middle and lower. The back of the upper and middle papers are coated with CB coating, and the front of the middle and lower papers are coated with CF coating. The main components of the CB coating are microcapsules containing color development dyes and protective spacers, and the main components of the CF coating are color developers and fillers.

The basic coloring principle of coupled color-developing carbonless copy paper is that under the pressure of writing or printing, the CB coating microcapsules of the upper layer of paper (CB or CFB paper) are broken, the coloring agent overflows with the oil solvent, and the oil body is partially transferred to the CF coating of the next layer of paper (CFB or CF paper). The oil-soluble coloring agent dye reacts chemically with the color developer in the CF coating, and the unique color of the coloring agent appears at the copy position of the CF coating.

For self-developing carbonless paper, its microcapsules and developer are in the same coating, which can be easily covered on other ordinary thin paper, so that the handwriting can be copied on the surface of the self-developing paper.

Application of Carbonless Paper/NCR Paper

Carbonless paper is widely used in offices, commerce, education and other fields due to its clear, durable and rewritable characteristics.

It is suitable for invoices, bills, bank statements, business lists, receipt rolls and ATM transaction records. It is also commonly used in quality control sheets, store records and various reports.
