The bearing structure is a key component of a three cone drill bit, which determines the rotational flexibility and service life of the cone. The common bearing structure is a combination of "roller bearings+ball bearings". Roller bearings mainly bear radial forces to ensure stable axial movement of the roller cone during rotation;

Ball bearings are responsible for bearing axial forces, ensuring that the roller cone can operate normally under drilling pressure. High end three cone drill bits usually use sealed bearing technology, which isolates the bearing chamber from external rock debris and mud through sealing elements such as rubber sealing rings. This sealing design can effectively prevent impurities from entering the interior of the bearing, reduce wear, and extend the bearing life by more than 50%. At the same time, the bearing chamber is filled with high-temperature lubricating grease, which usually has a temperature resistance of over 250 ℃. In harsh working environments with high temperature and high pressure, it can still provide good lubrication for the bearing, reduce frictional resistance, and ensure smooth rotation of the roller cone.
