Why two-stage compression is more energy-efficient than one-stage compression
According to the working principle of the compressor, isothermal compression is the most power-saving. The following is the indicator diagram of the compression process, curve 12'3' is the isothermal compression process, and the area formed with the ordinate 613"4 is the indication work of isothermal compression.
The curve 123" is the first-order compression process, and the area formed with the ordinate 613"4 is the indicative work of first-order compression. Curves 12, 22", 2'3 are the two-stage compression process, and the sum of the area 6125 and 52'34 formed by the ordinate (6122'34) is the indicative work of the two-stage compression.
As can be seen from the following figure, the 613'4 area (indicated work) of the isothermal compression process is the smallest, but the isothermal compression cannot be achieved in the actual compression process of the compressor, and the first-stage compression has 13'3 "area power more than the isothermal compression, while the two-stage compression saves 2'23"3 area power than the first-stage compression.
