DC01 steel (1.0330 material) is a European standard cold-rolled quality low-carbon steel flat product specifically designed for cold forming applications. This material conforms to DIN EN 10130 standard, replacing the previous DIN 1623 ST12 designation.
Cold Rolled vs Hot Rolled Steel
The primary distinction between hot and cold rolled steel lies in their processing methods. Hot rolled steel undergoes rolling at elevated temperatures, while cold rolled steel is produced by further processing hot rolled steel through cold reduction. This additional processing results in superior surface quality and dimensional accuracy.
