Howin^TMHW-100M is a kind of multipolymer of styrene, acrylonitrile , styrene-butadiene rubber and maleic anhydride, produced by bulk polymerization. It’s milky granules.

Application

Including some maleic anhydride and soft segment, HW-100M is particularly suitable as toughening agents and compatibilization agents for PS/ABS.

The figures show that the dispersion phase of PA/ABS is unevenly distributed and ABS aggregated without compatilizer, and there is obvious interface between PA and ABS phase. The impact strength of alloy is very low in the macroscopic. After adding HW-100M and increasing the dosage, the dispersion phase of PA/ABS becomes more even and phase interface more vague, while the impact strength of alloy can be very high.
