The primary advantage of Stainless Steel 304 lies in its excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance in mild atmospheric, chemical, and acidic environments. The Stainless Steel Plate exhibits good mechanical properties at both high and low temperatures, maintaining strength and toughness. Manufacturing Process & Technology
Our Stainless Steel Plate 304 is produced via advanced electric arc furnace (EAF) melting, followed by Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) refining to ensure precise chemical composition and purity. The product is then hot-rolled or cold-rolled under controlled conditions to achieve precise dimensional tolerances and surface finishes (e.g., 2B, BA, No.4, No.8). A critical solution annealing and quenching heat treatment is applied to dissolve carbides and restore optimal corrosion resistance.
Principles & Key Applications
The performance of Stainless Steel 304 is based on the formation of a passive, self-repairing chromium-oxide layer on its surface, which provides the inherent corrosion resistance. This principle ensures the Stainless Steel Plate remains durable and inert in service.
