Energy Saving Strategy Don't turn on your 15kW Paint Booth just to spray a bumper with primer. Use the Prep Station (5.5kW) instead. It creates a cleaner environment than the open shop floor but costs a fraction of the price to operate.
Q: Can I spray the final topcoat (Color/Clear) in this Prep Station? A: Technically yes, but we do not recommend it for high-quality finishes. The Prep Station is not a sealed environment like a Spray Booth, so there is a higher risk of dust. It is best used for Primer and Putty.
Q: Does it need a metal base (basement)? A: No. The most popular model is the "Rear Draft" version. It sits on your existing flat concrete floor and sucks air out through a filter box on the back wall. This saves money on ramps and steel bases.
Q: Can you make a station for 3 cars at once? A: Yes, we can connect multiple units together (side-by-side) to create a multi-bay sanding line.
Q: Is the fan unit noisy? A: We use a dynamic balanced centrifugal fan with a belt drive, which keeps noise levels below 75dB.
