General term for steel and iron metallurgical process:

   Iron and steel smelting is the general name of steel and iron metallurgical process. Industrial production of iron is divided into pig iron (more than 2% carbon content) and steel (less than 2% carbon content) according to the carbon content.

   Most modern ironmaking uses blast furnace ironmaking, and individual uses direct reduction ironmaking and electric furnace ironmaking.          Steelmaking is mainly made of pig iron from blast furnace and sponge iron from direct reduction iron-making process and scrap steel as raw materials, and is made into steel by different methods. The basic production process is to refine iron ore into pig iron in an iron smelting furnace, and then use pig iron as raw material to refine into steel by different methods, and then cast into steel ingot or continuous casting billet.

Vacuum induction furnace: It is a device that uses electromagnetic induction to generate eddy currents inside the furnace, causing ionization of metal atoms in the furnace charge to achieve the steelmaking process. It has the advantages of high heating efficiency, avoiding uneven temperature inside the furnace charge, reducing energy consumption and environmental pollution, low operating noise, and the ability to customize design according to different steelmaking needs. It is widely used in the steelmaking industry.
