Valve Stem Nickel Alloy Valve Parts Petrochemical Hastelloy C-276 UNS N10276

 

Hastelloy C-276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium superalloy with an addition of tungsten designed to have excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of severe environments. This material is known for its outstanding resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking.

Physical Properties:

  • Melting Point: Approx. 1325-1370 °C (2417-2500 °F)
  • Thermal Conductivity: Varies with temperature, approximately 10.1 W/m·K at 20 °C
  • Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: 11.2 µm/m-°C (20-100 °C)
 

Mechanical Properties:

 
  • Tensile Strength: 690 MPa minimum
  • Yield Strength (0.2% Offset): 283 MPa minimum
  • Elongation: 40% minimum in 50 mm
 

Corrosion Resistance:

 
Hastelloy C-276 offers superb resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments, including:

  • Formic and acetic acids
  • Acetic anhydride
