Hastelloy C276 with a high nickel contents, is immune to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. The high molybdenum and chromium contents allow the alloy to perform in oxidising, non-oxidising and mixed acids media, whilst exhibiting outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion attack.
Hastelloy C-22 is a most versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with improved resistance to both uniform and localized corrosion as well to a wide variety of mixed industrial chemicals.
In addition, C-276 and C-22 alloy flanges have some common characteristics, especially in terms of corrosion resistance:

Excellent corrosion resistance: Both alloy flanges have extremely high corrosion resistance and can resist erosion by a variety of chemical media, including chloride, chloride salt solutions, sulfuric acid and oxidizing salts.

Resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion: Both C-276 and C-22 alloy flanges are resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion, making them suitable for environments that require extremely high corrosion resistance of materials.

High temperature resistance: Both alloys have good corrosion resistance at high temperatures and are suitable for applications in high temperature environments.

Wide range of applications: C-276 and C-22 alloy flanges are widely used in chemical, petrochemical, flue gas desulfurization, pulp and paper, environmental protection and other industrial fields.

High strength and toughness: These alloy flanges feature high strength and toughness, making them suitable for environments that require high mechanical properties of the material.

Resistant to chloride media corrosion: Both alloy flanges are particularly suitable for resisting corrosion from chloride-containing organic matter and catalytic systems.
