Inconel 625 is a nickel-based superalloy with molybdenum and niobium as the main strengthening elements. It is a solid solution-strengthened nickel-based deformed high-temperature alloy. This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, good tensile properties and fatigue properties even in the temperature range from low temperature to 980°C, and can withstand stress corrosion in salt spray atmosphere. Therefore, Inconel 625 is widely used in the manufacture of aircraft engine parts, aerospace structural components and chemical equipment. This alloy may undergo certain age hardening after long-term use at 550 to 700°C, resulting in a decrease in the plasticity of the alloy. The chemical composition of Inconel 625 alloy mainly includes nickel, chromium, molybdenum, niobium and other elements. The nickel content is about 58%, chromium is about 20%, molybdenum is about 9%, and the niobium content is relatively low.
- In terms of the physical properties of Inconel 625 alloy, its density is 8.4 g/cm³ and its melting point is between 1290-1350°C. At room temperature, the mechanical properties of the alloy include a tensile strength of at least 760 N/mm², a yield strength of at least 345 N/mm², and an elongation of at least 30%. In addition, Inconel 625 alloy also has good resistance to inorganic acid corrosion, such as nitric acid, phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, etc., and also has resistance to alkali and organic acid corrosion in oxidizing and reducing environments.
