Inconel 718 Alloy Plate Precipitation Hardened Corrosion Resistant Alloy
Inconel 718 alloy is a precipitation-hardening nickel-chromium-iron alloy containing niobium and molybdenum. It has high strength, good toughness and corrosion resistance in high and low temperature environments below 650℃. This state can be solution treatment or precipitation hardening.
The characteristics of 718 alloy are as follows:
- Processability
- High tensile strength, durability strength, creep strength and breaking strength at 700℃.
- High oxidation resistance at 1000℃.
- Stable mechanical properties at low temperatures.
- Good welding performance.
Inconel 718 Metallographic Structure
Alloy 718 has an austenitic structure, and precipitation hardening produces "γ", which gives it excellent mechanical properties. The "delta" generated at the G grain boundary makes it the most plastic during heat treatment.
Inconel 718 Corrosion Resistant
Alloy 718 has extremely strong resistance to stress corrosion cracking and pitting corrosion in high or low temperature environments, especially oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
