Product Description
Precision Forged Inconel 625 Ring for Turbine & Chemical Processing Equipment
Precision-forged INCONEL 625 alloy rings are engineered for extreme operating environments. Utilizing advanced precision forging technology, these rings optimize the inherent high strength and superior corrosion resistance of INCONEL 625 alloy. They maintain stable performance across a wide temperature range of -196°C to 980°C, with exceptional resistance to stress corrosion, pitting, and high-temperature oxidation. Custom sizes are available to meet stringent reliability requirements for critical components in turbomachinery, chemical processing, and marine engineering applications.
Nickel Alloy 625 Material Properties
Nickel alloy 625 is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based wrought superalloy, primarily composed of nickel (58%-65%), chromium (20%-23%), molybdenum (8%-10%), and niobium.
Key Material Characteristics
- Corrosion Resistance: Excellent performance in acidic, alkaline, and chloride environments; pitting corrosion resistance is three times greater than standard stainless steel
- High-Temperature Strength: Maintains high strength at 950℃, suitable for temperature ranges from -200℃ to 980℃
- Weldability and Machinability: Compatible with conventional welding and hot forging processes, though exhibits high resistance to high-temperature deformation (flow stress reaches 250MPa at 1100℃)
Materials and Manufacturing Process
Superior INCONEL 625 Alloy Composition
INCONEL 625 (UNS N06625) is a solid solution strengthened nickel-based superalloy with molybdenum and niobium as primary strengthening elements. Unlike precipitation-hardened alloys, it achieves strength through solid solution strengthening of the nickel-chromium matrix by molybdenum and niobium, providing stable mechanical properties across wide temperature ranges.
Precision Forging Advantages
Compared to traditional machining methods, precision forging significantly refines material grain structure, enhancing product strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. This enables forged rings to withstand extreme mechanical and thermal stresses, resulting in extended service life in harsh environments. The forging process also eliminates internal defects, improving material density and structural integrity.
Industrial Applications
Turbine Machinery
Ideal for gas turbine casings, compressor rings, seal supports, shroud rings, and exhaust system components
Chemical Processing Equipment
Widely used in reactors, distillation columns, heat exchangers, valve seats, and piping systems exposed to aggressive corrosives
Marine & Offshore Engineering
Perfect for submarine propulsion components, seawater system parts, mooring equipment, and fasteners due to supreme seawater resistance
