Inconel 625 Nickel Alloy Forged Round Bar ASTM B446 AMS 5666 for Corrosion Resistant Marine Chemical Applications
Inconel 625 Nickel Alloy Forged Round Bar
Inconel 625 (UNS N06625 / W.Nr. 2.4856) is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. Our forged round bars are manufactured in strict compliance with ASTM B446 and AMS 5666 standards, making them the preferred choice for marine, chemical processing, and nuclear applications where reliability under aggressive conditions is critical.
Key Features
- Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater, acidic environments, and chloride-containing media. Resists intergranular corrosion without post-weld heat treatment.
- High Strength & Toughness: Maintains mechanical integrity from cryogenic temperatures up to 980°C with tensile strength ≥827 MPa and yield strength ≥414 MPa in annealed condition.
- Exceptional Weldability: Readily weldable by conventional processes without susceptibility to post-weld cracking, eliminating the need for complex heat treatment after fabrication.
- Double Melting Process: Produced via VIM (Vacuum Induction Melting) followed by ESR (Electroslag Remelting) or VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting) ensuring superior cleanliness and homogeneous microstructure.
- Customized Dimensions: Available in customized diameters and lengths to meet specific project requirements, with full traceability from melt to finished product.
