The main relief valve of Komatsu 1100 distributor is usually a pilot relief valve, which consists of a pilot valve and a main valve.
1. Oil enters the lower chamber of the main valve piston from the inlet, generating an upward force on the piston, and at the same time, oil enters the upper chamber of the piston through the damping hole, generating a downward force on the piston. Before the pilot valve core is opened, the upper and lower areas of the piston are the same, and the pressure is also equal. In addition, the main valve core spring has a downward force on the piston, so the main valve is closed.
2. When the inlet pressure of the overflow valve continues to increase and is greater than the pressure set by the pilot valve core, the pilot valve core opens, and the pressure oil in the upper chamber of the main valve is discharged through the pilot valve, and the pressure in the upper chamber becomes 0. At this time, under the action of the oil pressure in the lower chamber, the main valve moves upward, opens the valve core, and the pressure oil in the inlet flows into the oil discharge port through the main valve core, reducing the pressure of the inlet oil.
3. When the inlet oil pressure drops below the pressure set by the pilot valve, the pilot valve core closes, and the pressure is re-established in the upper chamber of the main valve, pushing the main valve core downward to close the main valve.
