This is a true Lexmark PCR (Primary Charge Roller), an OEM part of the imaging unit used in some Lexmark printers. It works with Lexmark MS31x, MS41x, MS51x and MS61x series printers, including the MS310, MS315, MS510, and MS610 as well as the MS317 and MX310, MX410, and MX510 series. This roller makes up the first, “Charge” step in the electrophotographic printing process, applying a uniform negative electrostatic charge to the surface of the photoconductor drum upon which the laser will write the latent image for the toner to develop. Replacing a worn PCR ensures proper print quality.
