Installation Guidelines
Important Notes
All wiring must conform to applicable local codes, ordinances, and regulations. Verify that all detector bases are installed and initiating-device circuits have been tested before proceeding.
Installation Steps
- Remove power from initiating-device circuits before installing detectors
- Wire the sensor base according to the wiring diagram
- Install the sensor into the sensor base by pushing while turning clockwise
- Apply power to the control unit after all sensors are installed
- Test sensors as described in the testing section
- Notify proper authorities that the system is operational
Warning: Do not connect 24VDC directly without current-limiting resistance. This may cause detector damage.
