Stainless Steel CF8/CF8M Inverted Bucket Steam Trap
A robust mechanical steam trap designed for steam pipeline applications, utilizing density differential principles between condensate and steam for efficient operation.
Operating Principle
The inverted bucket steam trap operates on the principle of density difference between condensate and steam. When the system starts, air and low-temperature condensate are rapidly discharged through the fully open drain valve. As steam enters the inverted bucket, buoyancy forces the lever system to close the valve. A small vent hole allows air release, and as steam condenses, the bucket loses buoyancy and sinks, reopening the valve for continuous cyclic operation.
