ANSI GB Standard Cast Steel Stainless Steel Flanged Lift Check Valve for Water Steam Oil and Nitric Acid
Check valves, also known as automatic safety mechanisms, are designed to allow fluids and gases to flow in one direction while preventing reverse flow. These valves seal tightly to prevent leaks and ensure proper flow direction, protecting pumps and compressors from damage. Also referred to as one-way valves, they operate by allowing fluids to enter under pressure, pushing the disc away from the seat and out through the outlet. If pressure drops, the disc automatically returns to its seat to stop flow.
Lift check valves feature a disc that slides along the centerline of the valve body. This pipeline check valve design offers small volume, light weight, and excellent processing technology, representing a key development direction for check valves. While providing robust, long-lasting performance with high-quality materials, they have a slightly higher fluid resistance coefficient compared to swing check valves.
