The KL99-EEBD is an emergency escape breathing device providing 15 or 20 minutes of escape from toxic environments, even in atmospheres immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH). The KL99 EEBD is lightweight and designed for comfort as well as simplicity of use.Device Structure & Purpose
- The EEBD is used exclusively for escape from compartments with hazardous atmospheres to provide personnel breathing protection
- Not to be used for fighting fire, entering oxygen-deficient voids or tanks, or worn by firefighters
- Pressure gauge on cylinder indicates cylinder pressure (not indicated during storage)
- Flame-resistant hood completely covers head, neck, and portions of shoulders with clear window for visibility

Usage Instructions
- Check pressure gauge, observe cylinder capacity, and tear the seal
- Put on satchel and pull out launch belt to open it
- Take out face mask and wear from head down, ensuring transparent window is in front and shawl covers shoulders
- Escape quickly from the accident spot
