Yangwang U8 - Byd Quad Motor Layout 1, 100-HP off-Road Water Proof EV
The Yangwang U8 is the first model of BYD's new premium brand, Yangwang, and a domestic luxury model. It is positioned as an electric hardcore crossover SUV with six core technologies: Easy Four Square, Cloud Chariot, Blade Battery, Super Body, Intelligent Cockpit, and Intelligent Driving Assistance.
The U8 adopts the self-developed E-Square technology platform, a new architecture based on four-wheel, four-motor independent drive, which enables precise control of the torque of each wheel, thus providing 17+1 driving modes, such as ice and snow fixed-circle, and desert slope charging, for example. According to BYD's official introduction, in addition to a variety of off-road modes, the Yangwang U8 also has a flotation mode and the ability to continue driving with a flat tyre.
