The raw materials of sintered zirconia corundum bricks (hereinafter referred to as sinteredAZS bricks) are alumina and zirconia. Generally speaking, the content of ZrO2 is controlled at 15%-30%. The main crystal phases are mullite, corundum and zircon. In very pure raw materials, the glassy phase content can be less than 5%.

Aluminium-zirconium refractory products have good resistance to acid or alkaline slag, corrosion of molten metal, and oxidation and reduction reactions, and are enhanced with the increase of AL203 content and the reduction of harmful impurity content.
