The main mineral composition of Chromium corundum brick is prun-Al2o3-cr2o3 solid solution.The secondary mineral composition is a small amount of composite spinel (or non-composite spinel), and the content of chromium oxide is 1% ~ 30% of firebrick.There are two types of fused cast Chromium corundum brick and sintered Chromium corundum brick.Chromium corundum brick in general refers to sintered Chromium corundum brick.

α-Al2O3 was taken as the raw material, and a moderate amount of chromic oxide powder and fine powder of chrome corundum clinker were added.The content of chromic oxide in sintered chrome brick is generally lower than that of fused cast Chromium corundum brick.Moreover, the gray-pouring method can be used to prepare the gray-Al2o3 powder and chromium-oxide powder, and the grain-Al2o3 powder can be mixed uniformly, and the grout can be made by adding degumming agent and organic binder, and some chrome-corundum clinker can be added at the same time.It can be used as lining of glass kiln, screwing glass liquid flow hole cover plate brick, as backing lining of iron water pretreatment device, waste incinerator, coal water slurry pressurized gasifier, etc.

 In recent years, Chromium corundum bricks are mainly used in high temperature kilns such as synthetic ammonia gasifier and carbon black reactor.The throat pipe of a carbon black reactor furnace introduced by a carbon black factory was replaced by chrome-corundum brick of our hospital, which was used for more than 4 months. The furnace stopped for inspection and the inner diameter was maintained well. No melting or cracking was found.At present, the service life of furnace lining can reach 10~15 months.
