Product Description
The ICAO standard passport scanner is a full-page multi-illumination ePassport reader. It captures ultraviolet and infrared images, as well the full page of a passport in colour. In a simultaneous single action the reader also decodes the machine readable zone (MRZ) and processes eData, including the holder's image, from the chip. Some features are optional such as RFID chip reading and the UV image. And the UV is for the document authentic check. The ICAO standard passport scanner significantly speeds up image-processing, thus efficiently reduces queuing time.
Recognition Process
A.The APR5300(i) device captures white, infrared,UV image from various kind of documents. Which can also decodes the machine readable zone (MRZ) and RFID to get information of name,nationality,gender, date of birth,etc.
B.Generally Speaking, it will take about 2 seconds to capture the images and extract the printed data through OCR technology.
