Stepless Torque Control with Linear Relationship Brakes and Clutches

The lag brake is a superior torque and tension control component. It uses the hysteresis principle, through controlling the input of the excitation current, to produce a certain amount of torque. Control current and output torque have a good linear relationship. It provides smooth, stepless, adjustable, speed-independent torque control. The hysteresis brake consists of the rotor and the stator magnetic pole. The rotor is made of a special hysteresis material. There is a certain gap in the stator magnetic pole, and the rotor rotates in the gap. When the coil is energized, a magnetic field is generated in the gap, causing a hysteresis effect on the rotor. When the hysteresis rotor overcomes the hysteresis force. Torque is only related to the size of the exciting magnetic current, independent of the speed, to achieve non-contact torque transmission.
