Unlocking Purity: How Reverse Osmosis Transforms Water?
Just as the name suggests, it is a system through which water is filtered to your desired standard. A very simple explanation is that the water is filtered using a pressure difference and polymer membrane separation technology.
How it works
- In the reverse osmosis process, by applying pressure higher than the natural osmotic pressure, the water molecules are made to pass through the membrane in the reverse direction, thus obtaining pure water on the low pressure side.
- The reverse osmosis membrane, is the core component of a reverse osmosis system. These membranes effectively block dissolved salts, particulate matter and organic contaminants, and their extremely small pore size of 0.0001 microns ensures that only water molecules and solvents smaller than this size pass through. Chemical ions, bacteria, fungi and viruses are blocked outside the membrane and discharged with the wastewater.
