Road marking glass bead is made from glass sand and waste glass as raw materials. After high-temperature melting, it forms small glass beads that appear as spherical, colorless, transparent particles under the microscope, with diameters ranging from 75 microns to 1400 microns. The primary production process for road reflective glass beads is the flame floating method.
Road marking glass beads are mainly used in normal temperature type and hot melt type road marking coatings. They serve two purposes: as premixed materials to ensure reflective properties throughout the marking's lifespan, and as surface-spread materials during marking construction to provide immediate reflective effects.
