The Cutter Suction Dredger is often designed easily to transport by road, rail or in bulk due to its reasonable size and weight of the various dismountable modules. The complete Cutter Suction Dredger consists of one main pontoon and two side pontoons which are mounted to the main pontoon using heavy duty steel eyes and pins at the bottom of the hull, they are connected at deck level. The pontoons are of welded steel constructions with heavy frames, beams and longitudinal girders.
