The sealing part must be installed with its back exposed to atmosphere. Required surface roughness peak-to-valley value (RT) should not exceed 6.3 microns, while the counterbore bottom roughness should be approximately 20-30 microns (DIN 3142 B5-P4 standard). When surrounding holes are present, proper exhaust channels must be arranged.
