Types of Jet Suction Dredgers
Stationary (Non-Self-Propelled) – Used in fixed locations like ponds or small rivers.
Self-Propelled – Larger vessels with mobility for offshore or deep-water projects.
Modular Design – Can be mounted on barges or pontoons for flexible deployment.

Material: Usually made of strong and wear-resistant metal materials, such as cast iron, stainless steel, etc., to resist the erosion and wear of water flow and mud and ensure long-term stable operation.
Shape: Generally a circular or oval tubular structure, with a sand suction port at the front end and a sand suction pipe at the rear end. Some shooting and suction faucets will also be designed to be bendable or retractable according to actual needs to adapt to different working environments and angle requirements.
Counterweight: In order to ensure the stability and verticality of the shooting and suction faucet underwater, counterweight blocks are usually installed at or around its bottom so that the sand suction port can be better close to the bottom mud layer and improve the sand suction efficiency
The dredge pump is the core component that transports the slurry (a mix of water, sand, and sediment) through the pipeline. Designed for heavy-duty performance, it handles abrasive materials with high efficiency. Key features include wear-resistant materials, strong suction capacity, and variable speed control to optimize production.


The control room is the command center of the dredger, equipped with advanced monitoring and control systems. Operators use joysticks, touchscreens, and sensors to manage the cutter head, suction pipe, pumps, and positioning systems (like GPS or DP). Real-time data on depth, pressure, and efficiency ensures precise and safe dredging operations.
