The 1.5-liter B15 or L2B engine was produced from 2002 to 2009 in South Korea and was installed on the smallest models of the company, such as Spark or Matiz. And later it is used in Buick New Excelle too.

As soon as Shanghai General Motors started building cars in 1999, it developed varieties of existing engines.The 1485cc L2B engine arrived in August 2011 in the Baojun 630, and became a hit in numerous variants, with double variable valve timing added, and fitted in most Baojuns and Wulings and various entry-level Buick and Chevrolet models, and also in the Uzbek-built Daewoo Gentra/Chevrolet Lacetti.

The cylinder head plays a central role in managing the intake of fresh air-fuel mixture, combustion, exhaust gas expulsion, and engine cooling, all while ensuring optimal sealing and operation under high pressures and temperatures.
