Monel 400 alloy (UNS N04400 or MCU-28-1.5-1.8 or Ni68Cu28Fe) is a nickel-based alloy material with good corrosion resistance in seawater, chemical solvents, ammonia, sulfur, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, various acidic media such as sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, organic acid, alkaline media, salt and molten salt.
Monel 400 alloy also has good mechanical properties, a wide range of temperatures from low to high temperature, good welding properties and medium and high strength.
Application
The Monel 400 is used in chemical and petrochemical applications as well as in offshore development. Can be used to manufacture a variety of heat exchanger equipment, boiler feed heaters, oil and chemical pipelines, vessels, towers, tanks, valves, pumps, reactors, shafts, etc.
