Production
1. Material Preparation: The production process begins with the preparation of sodium bentonite, a natural clay known for its high swelling capacity and low permeability. The bentonite is processed to achieve the desired granular size and purity. Additionally, geotextile fabrics (both woven and non-woven) are prepared for use as the carrier and cover layers.
2. Layering and Bonding: The processed sodium bentonite is evenly spread between two layers of geotextile fabric. The layers are then bonded together using needle-punching or stitching techniques. This creates a stable, flexible composite material where the bentonite is securely held between the fabric layers.
3. Calendering and Compression: The layered material is passed through a calendering process, where it is compressed under high pressure and heat. This step ensures uniform thickness and enhances the bonding between the bentonite and the geotextile layers, improving the overall strength and durability of the waterproof blanket.
4. Cutting and Packaging: The final product is cut into rolls or sheets of the required dimensions. Quality control checks are performed to ensure the product meets the specified standards for weight, thickness, and permeability. The sodium bentonite waterproof blankets are then packaged and prepared for shipment to construction sites or storage facilities.
