Product Description
Non-Woven Polyester Geotextile for Mine Soil Erosion Control
This needle-punched non-woven polyester geotextile is engineered specifically for soil erosion control in mining environments. Manufactured from high-quality polyester fibers, it features a dense yet porous structure that combines lightweight properties with exceptional durability. The material is treated with UV stabilizers and anti-aging agents to withstand long-term outdoor exposure in open-pit mining operations.
Key Features & Benefits
- Erosion Protection: Dense fiber structure dissipates surface runoff energy and reduces water scouring force on soil
- Vegetation Support: Porous design allows air and water penetration while retaining soil moisture and nutrients
- Temperature Resistance: Withstands temperatures up to 150°C without performance degradation
- UV Resistance: Specially treated for prolonged UV exposure without brittle cracking
- Mechanical Strength: Excellent tear and puncture resistance against construction machinery and gravel friction
- Flexible Application: Soft texture conforms to irregular soil surfaces for complete ground contact

Application Scenarios
Primary Applications: Slope protection for open-pit mines, roadbed reinforcement for mine access roads, vegetation restoration on waste rock piles and tailings slopes, and erosion control in surface drainage ditches.
Additional Uses: Temporary erosion control during mine construction, protection of exposed soil at construction sites, and ecological remediation of abandoned mines to restore natural landscapes and ecological balance.
Installation Guidelines
Slope Installation: Begin at slope bottom and work upward with 10-15cm overlap between adjacent geotextiles to prevent water seepage.
Steep Slopes: For slopes steeper than 1:2 ratio, use anchor pins every 1-1.5 meters to prevent slippage.
Vegetation Integration: Lay geotextile first then spread seeds, or use pre-seeded geotextiles for direct installation.
Weather Considerations: Avoid installation during heavy rain or strong winds to prevent displacement.
Maintenance: Regular inspections after heavy rainfall events; promptly repair any damaged areas (tears, loose fixes) to maintain continuous erosion protection.
