Screw feeders, also known as screw conveyors, scraper conveyors, and bucket conveyors, consist of a feeding hopper, feeding screw, and transmission mechanism.
Working Principle
The system uses a weighing bridge to measure material weight on the conveyor belt. A digital speed sensor at the tail monitors feeder speed, sending pulse outputs to the controller. Both speed and weight signals are processed by the controller's microprocessor to calculate and display cumulative quantity and instantaneous flow rate. The flow rate is compared to the preset rate, and the control instrument adjusts the frequency converter to modify the feeder's drive speed, ensuring material flow matches the desired feed rate for precise quantitative feeding.
