Measurement Principle
NIR spectroscopy analyzes the 780-2500nm range where molecular vibrations generate spectral patterns. Agricultural samples exhibit wide absorption features from bond vibrations (C-H, O-H), enabling comprehensive chemical profiling and multi-component detection for quality control.
Measurement Methods
- Near-infrared reflection detection: Suitable for detecting surface information of fruit peels, such as color and luster, but not for internal quality detection.
- Near-infrared transmission detection: Theoretically applicable to transparent or semi-transparent samples, but cannot penetrate fruits. Less used in practical applications.
- Near-infrared diffuse reflection detection: A measurement method between reflection and transmission, suitable for opaque, solid and semi-solid samples. The obtained spectral information reflects the characteristics of the internal structure of fruits and is widely used in detecting internal qualities (such as sugar content, acidity).
Applications
- Quality assessment: Predict quality parameters such as firmness, sweetness, and acidity of fruits.
- Classification and identification: Distinguish and identify different fruit types.
- Functional fruit evaluation: Evaluate and screen functional fruits rich in special components.
- Disease monitoring: Quickly diagnose diseases such as citrus Huanglongbing and provide early warnings.
