The work process of a dehumidifier is as follows:

1. Air Intake

The dehumidifier draws in moist air from the surrounding environment through an intake vent. This air contains water vapor in varying amounts depending on the humidity level.

2. Cooling and Condensation

The moist air passes over a cold coil. The cooling causes the water vapor in the air to condense into liquid water droplets. This is similar to how water droplets form on the outside of a cold glass on a hot day.

3. Collection

The condensed water is collected in a tank or drained away through a hose. Some dehumidifiers have larger tanks that need to be emptied periodically, while others can be connected directly to a drain for continuous operation.

4. Dried Air Release

The now dehumidified air, which has had its moisture removed, is reheated slightly and released back into the room. This helps to maintain a more comfortable and drier environment.

A dehumidifier takes in moist air, cools it to condense the water vapor, collects the water, and releases dried air, thereby reducing the humidity in a given space.
