Working Principle
Dry-ice blasting is a form of carbon dioxide cleaning where dry ice (solid carbon dioxide) is accelerated in a pressurized air stream and directed at surfaces for effective cleaning.
This method is similar to other media blasting techniques but offers significant advantages: non-abrasive, non-conductive, non-flammable, and non-toxic.
Dry-ice blasting is highly efficient and environmentally friendly. The dry ice is made from reclaimed carbon dioxide produced from other industrial processes, reducing chemical cleaning agent exposure for employees.
Unlike other blasting methods, dry-ice blasting creates no secondary waste as the dry ice sublimates (converts back to gas) upon impact. The only waste is the dislodged material, which can be easily swept, vacuumed, or washed away.
